hospital : (

my babygirl spent her first halloween in the hospital : ( and we just left the hospital today, she is 12 days old today. and on saturday she got a 100.8 fever so i brought her into the emergency room and they did a bunch of tests and let me tell you, it was the worst thing i ever had to go through in my life. they did an IV on her that was horrible, they did chest x rays and put a cathader (sp?) in her, then they had to do a spinal tap and i wanted to be in the room so bad to be there for her but i was crying worse then her so they asked me to leave the room so my mom stayed in there, they had to poke her with the needle 7 times because they couldnt get it in : ( .. they kept her in the hospital for 3 days and we were able to leave today because they said she just has a cold.. ugh now im freaking out and feel like i dont want to take her out of the house till shes like 10 lol, i dont want her to ever have to go through that again

yeah that would be a normal medical responce for that kind of temp in that age child.
OP sorry you had to got though this, thak god they ruled out anything serious like H1N1 or menengitis good luck

yeah thats what i said! , but i called her pedi doctor and they said to bring her to the ER and that she wanted all that stuff done and if they didnt do it for them to call her right away. she said its because of the whole swine flu and spinal meningitis.

  I wouldn't be taking my child back to thathospital if they couldn't figure out it wasa simple cold without all those tests. I hope your LO gets to feeling better mine just got over a cold a few weeks ago it was no fun. Did you try getting a humidifier? I had to get one because he was so stopped up.
