snickers & breastmilk?

i've been craving snickers the past couple of days but have stayed away from them because i wasn't sure of eating nuts while breastfeeding...

and to make it worse my hubby went and got me one.

so now i have this big fat snickers bar staring me in the face.

i googled eating nuts while breastfeeding and it said not to. and at the pedi today i forgot to ask....please help!

well.. i just ate a handful of nuts and peanuts

i actually always do.. and been BFing for 2 months now, kaia seems fine

I ate nuts while bfing... and I do while pregnant. Not saying you should because I do, just mentioning that I do. Did that make sense?

You'll be fine   I consumed way more snickers bars while BFing my kids that most consume in a lifetime...they are my Fav....nom nom

you should only avoid nuts while BFing if there is a nut allergy on either side of the family.

ok awesome, because i was eating them my entire pregnancy, and then my milk came in big time the other day and i started questioning the nut thing.

not supposed to, but i do. its not like i eat them all the time.

I've never avoided nuts and I've been breastfeeding Silas for 15 months. I never heard that you were supposed to either. Nuts are very healthy. (granted they're not in snickers bars   )Eat up!
