I'm the same exact way. I ALWAYS have something to read. When I finally finish school, and start making money, I'm having my own library.

i would love to have just one room in the house just for me and my books so i can lock the world out and hide away for a while... but with all these kids i just dont have the space anymore
maybe i could trade a few of them in so i can have a library lol

This is why I am having one and only, lol. But seriously, save money and add a room on!

Oh, and mine will totally have a bed, a big luxurious one, I LOVE to read in bed. I could like, lay in bed all day and read. Wait, I have....many, many times. *sigh* to be childless and carefree again, lmao. (no really, I adore him and wouldn't trade him for anything, I just wish he wouldn't try eating mommies books.)

i always read in bed, when DH has fallen asleep and the house is all quiet i can finally have some me time and read for a few hours.
i hide all of my books away in my bedroom.. a child free zone so they dont get hold of them... all though DD#1 is 8 now and always borrowing them

See, your lucky you can keep them out. My son sleeps in my room since he's only 7 months at the moment and we don't have a spare bedroom. At least he can be contained in his playpen when he's in there.

But it's great your 8 y/o is reading though! But be careful, thats the age when I started boprrowing my moms books and I ended up messing them up. I'd be pretty strict or start buying her ones for herself used off of Amazon. You can get them super cheap and then it won't matter too much what happens to them.

i was so unsure about letting her borrow them but i have always taught her books are special and need to be very well looked after and she is fantastic with them. so far she has gone through all of my harry potter and is now trying the hobbit.. she has the reading compihension of an 11 year old... so i have sorted out a section that is suitable for her and she is free to choose one at a time.

Thats awesome! My mom was never that careful. I regret the fact that I mutilated more than half her collection. I'm trying to get my younger sister to read more, but she is so much better at math and science, her reading comprehension isn't that awesome.

YAY! Another little fantasy lover.

Try reading in bed when you lay down to sleep. I find it easier to fall asleep and I have fewer anxieties that keep me awake.

Well, what kind of movies do you enjoy, that might help. I LOVE fantasy. Anything like Lord Of The Rings or Harry Potter, or anything historical, and those are the types of stories I read.
