Sex after baby

How long after you gave birth did it take for sex to go back to normal? I gave birth almost 6 weeks ago... and I know you're not supposed to start having sex yet until after your 6 weeks PP appt but it was too tempting not to.. especially after not doing it for 8 weeks already! But when we did it, it still slightly hurt a little...and it also made me start to bleed again. I'm just curious as to when that all will go back to normal...

I had sex 5 weeks pp. Hurting is normal and I also think light bleeding is too. If its heavy then I would call your doctor

It might. I'm 5m PP and just started 'trying' to have sex. I had 4th degree inner tears and an episiotomy so it still hurts somewhat.

I waited until 11weeks PP and it didn't hurt at all. I'm sure it depends on the degree of tear, c-secton, etc.

I don't know about other women, but I had an episiotomy so I waited the entire 6 weeks and then an additional week because I was scared that it would hurt. And it did hurt a little the first couple of times, but after that it was back to normal. Not to sound gross but the first couple of times to keep it from hurting we used lube, it helped a little.

it actually took several months before sex was awesome again. And now I swear it feels even better than before  

I only had a small tear.. the bleeding afterward is pretty heavy... fills the TP but it only lasts for that one time I use the bathroom... afterward it stops.

That's what I did. I went out and bought some lube to see if that would help any and it did but it was still a little uncomfortable.

Minus the uncomfortable slightly hurting part of sex right now, I agree that it's alot better feeling than before. I was afraid that after pushing a baby out my fiancee would hate having sex with me... but he completely loves it... he too say's it feels better... which is weird.

i did it for the first time 4 amlsot 5 weeks out. it hurt the firts time and there was soem bleeding.. but we did it again at about 5 and a half weeks and i actually orgasmed.. it took a secodn to find a position that felt good though.

try going slower int he begining... woman on top if definitley NOT a feel good position (for me anyway) we layed side by side and did it that wya.. lol its how i got off..

I had a C-section. We had sex a week after I had her, felt great.

Man... I usually can never get off during intercourse... but I think if it wasn't for the slight pain, I would have gotten off this time... so I totally can not wait until it stops hurting! I'm not going to try again until after my 6 week PP appt though... I have to get a colposcopy done at my appt due to an abnormal pap in the beginning of my pregnancy... so I figure I'll wait to see if that hurts and if it doesn't, I'll try sex again.

BD and I had sex about 6 or 7 weeks PP. It did hurt a little, I mean you were at 10 cm at one point and then it went back to 0, so think about something going in there... hahaha LMAO. I had a little bit of light bleeding, but nothing too serious. It continued regularly after that (the sex that is), and it got better (feeling). It's totally back to normal now.
