epidural or natural?

So i am 37 weeks along and i cant decided if i would want to get the epidural or not. I have two lil girls and i had the epidural w/ both of them. With my first i was really trying to have her natural but i was having back labor and i made it to an 8 but got the epidural anyway. And w/ my second i got the epidural early and didnt feel no pain at all. Ive heard that the more children you have that the faster they come so i think i can mkae it natural. Have any of you moms had both a natural and epidural delivery and if so how was it for you???

I had mine drug free and would never do it any other way.  

I had an epidural that didn't work. If we ever have another baby I plan on going natural (again, sort of... without the useless epi, lol). I had a short labor though, 5 hours from my first contraction till the end of delivery, and I think that made it easier. Pushing and the episiotomy was tough, but it was motivation to get it over sooner  

i really really tried but once i got to 6 cm i couldnt handle it i thought i was gonna die. im so glad i got the epidural.

With my frist was natural and with my second I ask for an epidural but only work for 2 or 3 hours at max. Buuuut the epi worked on my favor because it drop my blood pressure (during labor) wich was high since before I got pregnant. With my next I probable will use the epidural and see how it goes.

I would never get an epi. I had 2 completely natural and one w/ nubain *it didn't work, it went down as natural in the chart*...but in most women, labors do get shorter w/ each kid. My 1st was 3 days, 2nd was 6 hours, and last one was 3 hours and 23 minutes.
And if you didn't get an epi til' you were an 8, you can most def do it w/out. You were almost there! I went from an 8-10 in about 5-10 min (varied by kid..lol). Good luck!

i had always reaally wanted to try and not have the epidural but at the same time i was glad that i got to enjoy my labor and not be in so much pain. I just have a feeling that w/ this labor its going to go really fast and i would like to try to have her natural.

I probably will opt for another epidural.

Each person should do what's best for them and their tolerance level.

Well my labor wasnt long with my two girls and my second was just one push and she was put! So i'm thinking this one may come quick...lol!

i am doing natural this time im planning on laboring in warm water then well see what comes next...
with my first i had an epidural and it was an awesome birth experience
with my second i got an epidural however it did not work so i did natural anyways and i amde it through so i will give it a try this time..
oh both my labors were less than 7 hours

I started with an epi, but it wouldn't work on me so they removed about an hour before she was born. Giving birth didn't hurt nearly as much as getting sewed up afterwards!
