When does the doc start conducting pelvic exams

...when you're pregnant? I'm about to hit the 36 week mark on Thursday and have an appt today-think she'll delve down under? LOL...just wanted to prepare myself for what's to come..

I wasn't checked at my 36 week. I think I might have been at my 37 weeks... If I hadn't been induced, LOL.

They checked me at my 37 week app I do believe.

I was checked but I was having tons of pressure so I think that's why he checked me! I think you can asked to be checked but they don't like to do it to much cuz of infections and such!

With Kailee, I was checked at 36 weeks because they were down there for the strep b swab anyway. Then I wasnt checked again until I was in labor at the hospital.

This time, I have already been checked once. If I continue to feel contractions I will be checked at every appointment.

I wasn't checked until what was supposed to be my 37 week appointment but was actually one day shy of 38 weeks. After the check I was sent to walk an hour (3 cm dilated and 60% effaced) and after my hour walk and return I was sent across the hall to the birthing center. Only checked once lol

i had a pap smear test at the start but other than that i dodn't have any until i was in the birth suite and the midwife was "Oh your 7cm dilated already" (to which i fdelt like saying really no shit lady it's not as if i'm faking the pain here)

last week at my 36 week appointment all she did was the strep b test; she hasnt told me anything about checkng for dilation but i might ak tommorrow cause i been having ugly pressure and i think some sort of contractions! i would probablly just be prepared either way because she will probablly have to do strep b since it can be done only up to 37 weeks; (atleast thats what my OB told me]

I found out I get to get violated every week now until I deliver...yaay 

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I was NEVER checked with my OBGYN. With my daughter (my second) I wasent checked until I was 2 days over due, with my midwife. This time, she is going to check me at 37 weeks.
