actually in a wayit's whatever is best for the mother I suppose, some mums only want women, that is sexist, no one frowns upon that.

To each their own really but I sure as hell wouldn't care if I was about to give birth.

typically when i'm in labor i just want the baby out. i dont care who gets the baby out as long as somebody does it!

I think she is insane.... She is probally that same B**** that named her kid Hitler. Its a shame that people like this still exsist.

Ahhh i think the monther has a right however im SOL i wont even know who is going to be in my room till i walk in for induction stupid Tampa clinic gahhhh so its gunna be like meeting someone and they look down there i want a girl but i can choose b/c we only have 1 on call dr one at night one durring the day and they have MED STUDENTS UGH!

Eh, to each their own. If it makes her comfortable during delivery then so be it. *shrugs*

it wouldnt bother me what colour skin the dr has but it would piss me off if i was being treated by a dr who's english wasnt fantastic.
when i had Amelia the anethitist (sp) was white but had terrible english and i could hardly understand her and it was scary not knowing exactly what was going on.

I can see that, I switched ob's since I couldn't understand one of ones I saw in the practice

If that's what makes her comfortable. Personally I wouldn't want to be cared for by someone who couldn't speak clear english (true story, one of my nurses I could barely understand) regardless of race but w/e floats her boat.

i wonder if she had of asked for a all female team if the attitudes would have been the same .... yes its ridiculos she asked for that .... but maybe it was not exactly a race issue maybe she wanted people who spoke english i know whe i deliverd my child three of my nurses did NOT speak hardly any english and it made for commuication to be very very very difficult

If thats what she wants. Its kinda stupid but if thats how she wants to be cared for. She's paying the doctors so she should get what she wants.
