contractions

Okay, I'm having horrible period-like cramps. I don't poop or fart afterward so I know it's not from gas. During some of them, my stomach gets really hard and it's super uncomfortable. They are happening pretty often. Some last longer than others but the longest being about a minute. I've had way more than 4 in the last hour. I've also drank water and laid on my left side to ease them and it's not helping.

Call the doc? Or go straight to the ER?

Call L & D and tell them whats up.

They might tell you to hang at home for a bit and come in when they get closer together or when you feel like you need to.

yes call l and d or your doctor, i did the whole water laydown thing and still had the exact same feeling and was in preterm labor they probably will want you to come in and get monitored

oh and my preterm labor was at 20 weeks and they were able to stop it even though I was 80% effaced gl just give your doc a call!

I was hooked up to magnesium sulfate and given shots of terbutaline. I still take terbutaline. it was scary I was in l and d for a week being monitored but its all right now, just bedrest and meds but its modified bedrest at this point

AHHHH! I'm scared to go in! But I'm giving my doc a call right now. I can't afford to be on bedrest! We're barely making it right now with both of us working. Gah!

who knows you might not be though, just saying what I went through lol I stuck with bedrest for a few weeks and now I just take it easy. I hear ya with needing to work, one income is hurting us

Yea it's hard times right now. I hope this is nothing and I'm just freaking myself out but it's better to be safe than sorry. I just called the doc and got the answering service so I have to wait for them to call me back. >.<

you might just be dehydrated or have a uti and not know it. UTIs can cause preterm labor

Wow, they call back quickly. They told me to go straight in and get checked out just to make sure.

I just got over a UTI. I took medicine twice a day for 10 days. Maybe it didn't leave. IDK but I'm nervous.

The meds might not have worked I had finished meds up too and turns out they didn't work then the preterm stuff started
