OP really has the final say in things- she is the parent.

And you don't need to be rich to take care of a child.
I don't have a ton of money, and I thought that I was not financially ready.

If you can afford a package of diapers, you're good to go.

Being 20, I've had 6 years of work, and 3-4 years of driving (with a licence).

If I was looking to rent a house, and I was up against a 16 year old I'm pretty sure the landlord would go for me.

A 16 year old can be just as mature as a 20 year old, 40 year old, etc. But in the end, it boils down to the number that you are. (Age.)

omg.. i totally know what you mean, like my MIL dont buy CRAP but she acts like i dont know what the hell im doing, soo yea.. it is REALLLLY frustrating!!

I don't blame you for wanting to make the decisions for your baby.... My cousins and boyfriends mom have helped me a ton. my boyfriends mom has made it clear that she wants to help but she keeps making comments like she will be the one to take care of my baby. I live on my own and the comments are stating to bother me too. It is nice to know that im not the only one in the same position. try maybe saying that you want to make some decisions too and that you would like to have a comprmise with the baby that you want to make the decisions together.
