I need help understanding. I don't want to be a under-educat

posted 2nd Nov
My boyfriend and I had sex on the 28th and the 29th of October '09. He ejaculated deep inside of me both times. Now, I've read and heard from about 2 different sources that a womans chance of getting pregnant is about 20-25% each month. First question: Is that true? Is it unlikely that I'll be pregnant?
Second question: How long, total, does it take the sperm to reach the egg and for me to conceive? If I were pregnant, would I be by now since it has been about 5 days since the ejaculation?

My cycle length is 27 days long. Though my period is not usually on the same day each month.

My period is around the 14-17 each month.

I went here (http://www.babycenter.com/ovulation-calculator) and it told me my most fertile days were Oct 24 - Oct 29. Does that mean that those dates were the days that I was ovulating?

I want to be pregnant. I'm ready for a child. What are my chances not that you know just about everything you need to?

Thanks to everyone for their answers ahead of time

I can't answer everything, though I do know that sperm can live inside you up to three days, and you can get pregnant at anytime during that. People tell you the best time to get pregnant is when you are ovulating, but it can happen ANY time of the month (this time I got preggo BEFORE my O dates) As far as knowing if you are pregnant or not, I would wait it out until your next AF is due, because you are more likely to get a positive pregnancy test later on

**It's more like 12% according to something I heard on the Discoery Health Channel.
**Noone will know if it's likely for you to be pregnant cause every woman is different. You could still get a period but not ovulate or your BF could have a low sperm count. Neither of which you would know unless you got tested for it.
**It's 7 to 10 days between ovulation, fertilization, and implantation...so no you're not pregnant yet if you hit the right date.

You luteal phase, which may change each month, is what dictates when you actually ovulate not just the length of your cycle.

And if it gave you 24th - 29th then you should've done it every other day starting on the 24th..as it's quality and not quantity that will increase your chances.

Babies are really hard work. If you aren't pregnant now, please don't keep TTC. Give yourself at least another year or 2

Didn''t say that...what I'm saying is IF you are, or do get pregnant its better to wait a few weeks, even at 3weeks you get a very faint positive on a HPT

Nope!!!

Why are you really TTC? How long have you been with you BF? Do you ahve a job and your own place at least? How about your education? Plans to go to college cause minimum wage only pays for child care!

I'm not tryin to get down on you....but I mean seriously...what's up?!

Best way to know is to wait and see if you miss your period....
Just make sure you are ready for a baby and the price that comes with one.
