Any advice would be GREAT....

So here is the deal.
My 3 year old, since the birth of his brother, will NOT sleep at night.
No matter what I do.
He hasn't been falling asleep until 12 am.. I run him all day long, hoping that he will be tired by night time, but no. Even when I lay in bed with him, it takes him like an hour or 2 to fall asleep.
I feel like I have tried everything and he still won't sleep.
Anyone else go through this???

are you really consumed by the baby all day? If you are, I would say try getting away a couple hours a day with just him for some special mommy time. he might be jealous

i would make a game of bedtime ;) my middle kids did that. And i would lay down with baby.. and let him lay next to you and baby.. and ask him .. who can sleep longer.. him or baby.. and soon or alater he will start to play along and get ready for bed. and if you can.. get baby on a sched.. like bathtime a certain time. indicating bedtime is near.. also helps. and let him see that when baby takes his night time bath.. then he goes nightnight.. and tell him that baby will watch him so he needs to be a big big brother and show baby how to do it right.. its just a jealous thing. baby is getting more attention then he is.. it will pass

I have been very avid on involving him with his brother.
Even if it's just going to the store, I usually leave the baby with daddy & take him.
I feel like I've been giving him just as much attention. That's what's weird. I hope it's just him being excited or something.
The last few nights he keeps telling me he is scared, but I don't get what he is scared of, b/c it's come out of no where!

I have no doubt that you are doing wonderfully, and I am sorry because I know exactly what you are going through. You know it is probably just one of those weird stages that he might go through even if there were no baby to be excited about. He could even be growing and having pains from that.
