COLORADO MAMAS!!!!!!!

so i am pretty much done with california....well the bay area at least. it was great as a wild teen for my party years, but ive been over it for awhile now and especially now that i have my son. it just seems to be going more and more down hill and i worry for my son growing up here. is it really different and more slow pace in other states? i know its cheaper for sure, but it just seems like here there is so much sex drugs and gangs among the young people, starting in elementary school! i know everywhere is going to have it but i know some people that live in different states that have lived here before and they say it is way less out there and more wholesome and they feel more comfortable raising their children out there.

so a place ive been thinking of a lot is colorado. i would love the weather and its not too far from cali so we could visit my fam. im thinking either boulder or colorado springs. i think their a good distance from denver without being too far since i do like to be close to the city. so any mamas live in colorado? how do you like it? have you ever lived anywhere else if so how does it compare?? how do you feel about your childrens environments and schools?

I lived in Ft Collins for 18 years. I loved it with all my heart, and I still go back and visit every few months. It's my home and I will be back there someday! Great place to raise a familY!!!

I lived in CO for years. I grew up in a tiny town so it was very slow paced and rustic. Of course we still had a drug problem it was just much more concealed. I think every place does. The local Mexicans had a "gang" but it was really more of a group of friends and they didn't cause much trouble. It's really cold there, LOL.

Haha I didn't live in a city, it was closer to a village. We only had one stoplight and that wasn't in town but up on the highway. It was called Olathe, it's about an hour outside of Grand Junction on the western side of CO, near Utah.

I live in colorado springs, Since 96'. I live on the south side.and I won't lie, Yes there are gang fights, but it's also easily avoidable. The northen part of colorado is slightly richer [ you will tell the difference trust me ] you may like living up there more.

what do you think about boulder??

XD Uh, I went to CSU Fort Collins [ Absolutely LOVE fort collins] , And from my experience, We are rivals with boulder. But a lot of kids who lived in boulder that go to fort collins now, HATE boulder. I personally haven't really been there.

I have never lived in Colorado but visit every year because my dad lives there so me and hubby visit alot. i would say if i could not live in California and was forced to move to another state it would def be Colorado. My dad lives in between Denver and Boulder which is a perfect location. Boulder is beautiful but it is very pricey to live there, from what i remember i have looked it up and its one of the most expensive cities in the US to live in because they are completely GREEN. ( conservation and improvement of the environment) but i think you would love it and seems like the perfect place to raise little ones. my dad also said to rent a brand new two bed condo runs from 600- 1000. so very affordable =)
