When will I get a normal pap?

I have HPV and was wondering how long it has taking some of you moms with hpv to have a normal papsmear after your abnormal pap? does it mean that when you have a normal pap that your HPV has went dormant?

last year i had an abnormal pap and told i have hpv but this year when i went to get mine it had cleared and went back to normal..they didnt mention anything about the hpv tho this year..im not sure what happens with that ill hafta ask my dr at my next appt in a couple weeks and let ya know! but they did say my pap could have went back to normal bc when i got pregnant i quit smoking so my bad cells coulda cleared up..not really sure-i didnt ask too many questions which i shoulda i was just happy it was normal*

It took me about 2 years and then they started coming back normal. Good luck.

i got abnormal paps in 2007 and 2008...theysaid it was because of the HPV but since i was young it should clear up on it own.this year it was back to normal and they didnt meantion HPV at all.
