re: Cats and babies

i heard its that they can inhale when they baby is trying to inhale so they baby will suffocate. i dont think theres any truth to it.

I have two cats. One, Zero, has always been extremely territorial over me. Ha. When P arrived that all changed. I don't let Zero or Oogie around her. They were kind of curious but they caught on quick and leave her alone. I wouldn't be too worried. And Zero has calmed his jealousy =]

As for the hair, I've always not wanted it on P so if they got on her clothes I'd wash them. I'd wash the carseat cover and chair if you don't want the hair but a little hair hasn't hurt my baby

Yea our cat attacks our legs all the time lol I guess thats his way of playing.

Cats don't kill babies.The old-wive's tail is that cats will sleep on baby's face.That's too uncomfortable a place to sleep.
Your cat sounds like he needs a buddy.Maybe this baby will be good for him.Not being funny,but I grew up with cats all my life,from the time I was a newborn.Mostly they hid from he til I was old enough to understand how to treat them.

If your cat feels anxious and is acting up,try going to a Petsmart or the Petsmart website.They sell these awesome plug-ins with scent diffusers.You won't smell anything, but they release a synthetic reproduction of the pheromone a cat secretes when it is feeling safe,like around you or your SO.They are mostly cheap,around 6 dollars for the air-spray version and maybe $20 for the plug-in.
You'll want to read the label, though, cuz I can't remember what they said about using around babies 
According to the info,it smells just like the scent trails a cat leaves on you after butting you with its head.When cats rub their face on you,they are scent-marking .

Also,if you feel more comfortable keeping kitty away from baby,use a spray-bottle of water and spritz the cat when he gets within a certain distance of the baby.Cats hate that,lol!
And just give him any attention you can spare.He's going to be a little confused and maybe depressed by no longer being your "baby," but the scent-diffusers should go a long way in helping him.Get him catnip.Lots of it 

when you put baby to bed shut the door sso kitty cant get in.

My granny's brother was killed because the cat suffocated him. Also one of my cousins almost suffocated cause my Aunt's cat was on him. So its not BS
