Quoting Sumer-Mommy to Irelynn {F: i dont mean to scare you and i have no research to back this up but a friend of mine had the same thing ... [snip!] ... to be cause by the meds.she is fine and healthy thank God but you just never know what these Drs are giving you, its scary!
Quoting BaByMarkel'sMommy: Yes my doc was worried about me making it to 32 weeks because of constant contractions but baby was born ... [snip!] ... They will help lessen comtractions also if you can try to cut down your caffeine intake until you get to term. That helps tooThanks for the encouraging words...I am sure doing my best. I have a two year old to chase around and an eight year old as well, so it's hard to stay off my feet. But I am giving it my best shot!! I didn't know that about caffeine though, I will try to lower my intake of that as well.
Quoting Dorothea22: yes im on permanent bed rest i get a shot every week to keep me from going into labor all this happen when i was 24 weeks an now ill be 32 tomorrow , an i still contract every day so u should be okWhat kind of shots are they giving you? I had steriod injections and some iv meds with my daughter at 28 weeks and carried her to term. But I wasn't having near the painful contractions. I am literally exhausted from them...are yours painful?
Quoting brandybc: I did read about this medicine when I got home and I caught that part...it is not FDA approved for this ... [snip!] ... it for a few weeks if it ever starts to even work!! Thanks for the reply, and I am glad your friends daughter turned out well.
Quoting Nate*Leo*Tobi*plus 1: I went through your exact situation with the contractions and the med. I started around 25/26 weeks with ... [snip!] ... is better than mine was. Everyone is different and reacts different to these meds. My LO is now a year and healthy as ever!Wow...you are a strong mama going through all of that! I am happy to hear you LO is doing so well now. I sure hope this LO holds out as long as possible. Were the contractions you were having pretty strong? Mine aren't killing me or anything, but they are very painful. They only lastfor around 40 or so seconds...but they stay for hours!! This goes on all damn day! They go for a few hours and then come back...it's exhausting!

They go for a few hours and then come back...it's exhausting!Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but thanks, it was had going home w/o my LO and finding time to go visit him in the NICU. My contractions weren't real painful, the real painful part was towards the end when he was actually coming. Before he came my belly felt like it was bruised from all the contractions though, like if I touched my belly it was tender. Kinda like I did a million plus sit ups! How are you doing now?
