When did you heal?

Okay SO I had an epesiotomy (SP I deff. just counded that out lol) , and I was wondering when like my stitchs woudl disolve, and when I would start feleing normal again down there. Like where I wont be afraid of wiping to ruff or something? I hope soon.

I'm still very cautious when I wipe and I'm 2.5 months PP.

I didn't have an episiotomy, and still didn't wipe the vag for over 6 weeks. ha.

took me about 2 weeks to feel normal again

It took a while for it to feel back to normal. I remember I still had one stitch left at my 6 week pp check. It was tender though for several months after that, and sex didn't feel normal till around a year for me.

I had a pp appt at 3.5 weeks (really early, idk why though) and my stitches were dissolved except for the knots so my OB cut them out. I don't recommend that....just let them dissolve. It hurt like hell!!

She told me that I could resume all normal "vaginal" activites. I still had a little pp bleeding so I tried a tampon: bad idea. It was super uncomfortable.

I waited until 6.5 weeks pp to have sex and after the first 5 minutes, I was fine.

I'm 7.5 weeks pp now and I haven't had a period. I bf until 5.5 weeks so that might be why too.

As far as the wiping part...I was okay by 2 weeks pp.

No, no pain or stinging. I guess I'm just afraid of "ripping" my stitched area back open even though I know it's completely healed. I'm just not comfortable with it yet i guess.

I didn't feel comfortable with sex for about 9 weeks..

I was the same way w/ my first child.

my stitches didnt go away untill around 5 weeks... but by my 6 week check i was healed she said but im 7 1/2 months PP and sex is still painful

I think it took me 6-8 weeks before I stopped hurting...

i felt normal starting at 2.5weeks.and im now 4weeks pp and feeling great(down there!)

My baby had a big head. I felt ok around 3 months but not normal/great until 7 months.
