AWESOME. Teenagers should OF COURSE have to notify their parents if they want an abortion.

i think until you are a legal adult, your parents should have absolute say in your life

As much as I am pro-life & against abortion. I think as long as its going to be legal, you shouldn't have to notify your parents. There are some parents who WILL NOT accept it & will harm their child for having sex in the first place, let alone have an abortion.

i think parents need to be more open to the fact that teenagers FUCK.. and sometiems get pregnant..
and that they should support their kids in whatever decision..
we are "animals" technically and do animalistic things like have sex, eat and have the urge to kill. lol
but seroiusly... i think that if teens couldnt get an abortion.. they would find a way.. like the girl i went to school with you supposidly had her friends punch her in teh stomach till she started to bleed...

I am absolutely pro-life.

But I somehow see this as teens either

A. Holding off telling their parents and hiding it.
Causing no prenatal care. Dangerous for mother and child.

B. Or them try to "take care of it" on their own.

I'm a HUGE proponent of PRO CHOICE- but I think there is a huge line between an abortion as an adult and one as a child

When I worked in surgery, we could not perform surgery on a minor w/o parental consent, unless they had been emancipated by marriage, or the courts.

This is no different, it's surgery.

I think it's good the parents to be notified. What if something goes wrong in the procedure... at least they'll know what's going on.

I think its a good idea but i can see both sides too.

I agree with this 99% (everything except for the first sentence...)

Of course in an ideal world, all teens could have an open dialogue with their parents without repercussions, but it isn't an ideal world. Once they make the very adult decision to have sex, it should be their decision and right to have an abortion.

I think this will happen too, it will be like it was years ago when people used unsafe back ally abortion clinics.I think it will cause more harm than good.

Can't doctors tell if you were really raped?
