kay, so I wrote a previous post asking about how long some of you ladies waited til you guys got intimate with your SO's again, after having a vaginal birth & I was surprised to see that a lot of mama's didn't wait til their 6 week pp appointment!

Anyways, so I've been feeling GREAT. Not sore at all whatsoever, no more bleeding. (just a bit of discharge.) & so on Halloween me & my SO had sex. I was 2 weeks pp. It was a bit uncomfortable at first, but felt amaaazing after a few minutes. (I think sex is much better now ;))

I was just wondering tho, could I be doing harm to my body by not waiting the 6 weeks? I've heard that it's okay to have sex as long as you're up for it & feel ready to do so. & then I've heard that you could do a lot of harm to your vagggg by not waiting. Which is it?

At least wear a condom because you are really at risk for infections.

I didn't wait 6 weeks, but I wore a condom so......

Where your plancenta tore from the wall there is a whole. It takes about 6 weeks for it to completely scab and go away. I was told that by having sex earlier than 6 weeks you can rip the scab and push air into the hole and cause I blood clot or air bubble to form. And if it reaches your heart, lungs, or brain can be fatal

Your vagina just went through a very traumatic experience, especially if you tore or had an episiotomy. Your doctor just wants to make sure that everything is properly healed before you resume sexual relations. Infection is their biggest worry.

i waited.. cuz well, i didnt want my stitches to rip open.. nor did i want nasty blood on my sheets..
nor did i want an infection...
i was like 5.5 weeks when i had my PP check up and got the a okay from my doctor.

I was told uterine prolapse is a possibility.

I didnt think that a penis actually could affect whats in the unterus...????
