Went to the doctor again

And she didn't check me. The last time I was checked was about 2 weeks ago. But I did have one lonely contraction when I was hooked up to the monitor. I have an ultrasound to check my fluid on Friday. And my mom told my doctor that my older sister was 2 and 1/2 weeks late so now my doctor doesn't want to give me an induction unless my cervix is ready for it. Which I don't understand because she already scheduled my induction on my due date but I canceled it.... So wouldn't I be more ready now then I was then?
What does she mean by my cervix being ready?
Oh and my belly is only measuring 34 when I'm 41 weeks tomorrow.

How soften?Because 2 weeks ago I was between 60 and 70 effaced and she already scheduled me one induction...

I went 2 weeks over my cervix still wasn't ready, and it ended in a emergency c-section. She will have to deliver you eventually just know that. Have they done ultrasounds to see why you are measuring so small?

I've had like 4 ultrasounds because I was measuring small...And Fridays will be number five. to check my fluid and size. But in the other u/s they said she was measuring fine...

Well if she is measuring fine then thats good. I don't know what to tell you about induction but your OB is right that if your cervix isn't ready its most likely not going to work   Sorry and good luck!

I just dont understand... about it being ready. Do I have to be a certain amount dilated or effaced?

Your cervix needs to be soft effacing and dilating. If you are completely closed not soft at all chances are its not going to work. Your body has to be ready and starting to process for it to work.

Oh well then mine is getting ready then since it's almost 100 and I'm at least one? It's been 2 weeks so I'm sure I've progressed even more.
