i know everyone is sick of hearing about swine flu, but i'm at a loss here.

on Thursday the health dept is doing a clinic thing at the fairgrounds, giving swine flu shots to people who are more at risk (pregnant women, young children). I don't know if I should get one or not.. I don't want anything to harm my baby and I have been hearing that the shot hasn't been tested that much or anything, but idk. should I get it?

if you say no can you please tell me why... because i don't know much about the shot and would like to know.

i wont get it because its got mercury in it, they claim they can calculate the level but im not taking any chances. i got the regular flu shot so im not worried about the swine flu one.

my doctor gave me the regular flu shot too. i didn't know it has mercury in it though! my doctor says dont eat fish with mercury in it..but go ahead and take this swine flu shot with mercury in it. wtf. lol.

exactly my reaction, thats why i refused to get it!!

the dont know what it will do. in the 70 when they had the last swine flu outbreak alot of the people that got the shot became paralized.sp?

i guess i'm just not going to get it. i don't want to risk it. swine flu is just a flu... pregnant people get sick all the time...right? haha.

yeah, and actually the regular flu shot made me horribly sick after i got it, i couldn't even get out of bed! i didn't get the swine flu and where im at everyone's got it i just take extra precaution and use a lot of hand sanitizer after i touch things in public places

when i went to my doctor they made me get it and the regular one too everyone that goes there has to get it!
i think im getting a new doctor bc i didnt want it but after i got it my throat hurts and my nose is running all the time i wouldnt get it just wash your hands and dont drink after anyone

yeah i dont think i'm going to get it. my doctor told me i really should, but even my mom thinks my doctor is a little "off".

i didn't get sick after the flu shot, but my arm hurt like a bitch.

I wont taker it. My dr. told me to get it but I wont. I dont think that they have tested it long enough beck in the old days it paralized alot of people. Plus no one has told me if it cause birth defects or if it can harm the baby I dont wana take any chances. I also know someone who got the shot and she had an allergic reaction to it and almost died.

Now its effecting young children, what age range is that in?
