Just curious, how many of you lady's will be or have gotten the H1N1 vaccine? How many of you aren't going to get it? Why or why not?

Well you didn't have to come and read it  .
I don't get on here very much anymore so I don't see many of the posts,I'm trying to figure out for myself whether its worth it or not.. So that really wasn't neccissary.

not to mention the vaccine over in europe which was not dead cells but live ones and actually ended up giving people the swine flu.

So who's gonna make the 'I survived the h1n1 posts... TWICE!" siggy?

And I'm not getting in, nor is my son.

I got the shot on Friday.
Was really against getting it, but the doctor [OB] advised me too.

I got it because they were making it mandatory for health care workers. Then they said they weren't making it mandatory after I already got it.

Got the shot a few weeks ago.... I'm still alive lol. It is safe.... a whole lot safer than getting the swine flu while preggo. Estimates are saying 63% of Americans will have had swine flu in the next year. If you are preggo and get swine flu you are 4x more likely to have complications... especially pnemonia. I work with patients at the hospital that have H1N1 and trust me you don't want it. You have to be responsible for your little one and get it if it's available to you....

but I got it, my husband and kids did too. New new new is all I hear but until they PROVE that its harmful to my kids Im going toget it for them. Why not prevent something your kids can die from or be hospitalized by!

I think people should base their choices on their gut feeling as parents and a discussion with their doctor, not on hear say and rumors and blah blah about being government guinea pigs! If my kids died from a fucking pig flu that I couldve prevented I wouldnt able to live with myself.

On another note...I just saw my pedi today for my son who has athletes foot lol...she sent an 8 month old to the intensive care unit just this morning with H1N1 and has had about 4 cases per week over the last three months. That is scary to me. When a doctor is scared of what this is doing to kids because she sees the affects of it everyday...that is more worrysome than the excuse "its too new and we dont know what will happen!"

Nope, but only because we have had the swine flu so I don't think we need the vaccine now.
