There was a case I heard ahout awhile back (there's probably better measures in place now) where a guy had like 4 aliases, all of dead men and he had credit cards in those names, and loans and such.
My mom was telling me about it. She read it in the paper in the 80s.

I just looked up my grandpa and it has the cities he's lived in and relatives listed but no SSN that I can see. Either way that's creepy.
