I think I would go into all options before turning it off. But it would be so hard knowing that basicly every few hrs the baby feels like its drowning. : (

I wouldn't have put the baby on life support in the first place. I can only imagine the pain they have had over this decision, but I would never want to live that way.

I agree with everyone that's saying they'd wait and see after testing and whatnot. My heart breaks for these parents and for every other parent that has ever been in a similar situation.   I honestly don't know that I'd survive something like this.

That's a tough decision.
However, I think that, since they have gone this long, and the baby can recognize people and plays, etc., they should go longer. I don't think that, at this point, it's fair to just say - "No, we're done. Let's just let him go." I couldn't do that, even though the baby suffers. Life is precious, and I think even with suffering, there is still joy and happiness in that baby's life.
I hope the new doctor can find a way to help the baby.
