Pro Choicers

posted 2nd Nov
This is NOT about abortion, per say. And I am pro choice myself so put down the pitch forks!

Do any of you that are pro choice find yourself criticizing other women for choosing to be induced before their due date? Should the same slogan apply? Their body, their choice?

Just curious. This is not stemming from any other thread. You can just vote in the poll if you would rather remain anonymous.

I think it's dumb to want to be induced before your due date just because you are tired of being pregnant.

I would have to agree with that. You sign up for forty weeks, deal with it. I think everyone is uncomfortable and tired towards the end.

unless its medically necessary, i think it's selfish, and dumb.

I'm more of a "depends on the situation" than "your body, your choice". I do find myself criticizing them for being induced early if there is no other reason than they're sick of waiting.

Not my kid, so what they do is their problem.

I see nothing wrong with inducing if you are say 3-4 days after your due date or more.

I do have a problem with it when girls just want to have an induction because they are sick of being pregnant.

sometimes there are other reasons for inducing, not just because they don't want to be pregnant anymore, I was induced 3 days before I was due so DH could be home for it, and that was my choice not the dr's

yes I have, why? Well IMHO it is ridiculous, why be induced for NO MEDICAL reason? Boredom? Convenience (sp?) WTF is the point? When you get pregnant you sign up for 40 week, EVERYONE knows this. Suck it up and stick it out. UGH! Ok vent over!

I don't critisize them, per se, but I do feel bad for them. I just skip those threads altogether.

I am pro choice, and I do strongly believe a womans body is their own and it is their choice. So if a woman wants to be induced, she can. I have no problem with that. Honestly, who am I to judge someone and tell them what to do with their bodies.

I think anything that isn't a medical reason is not good enough. That's JMO though.
