to: Breastfeeding mama's (when your LO gets teeth)??

Okay this may seem like a dumb question...but...

If you breastfeed, when your LO gets their teeth, does it feel odd?

The main reason i was thinking about this is because if I never had to stop breastfeeding because of an infection, I still probably would be doing it.
My daughter has 8teeth right now...

I know that for my next child(whenever that may be) I want to breastfeed for as long as possible, and I'm just wondering does it feel different when they get their teeth?

Bottom you never feel, but the top they can bite.

I don't notice unless if he bites. The bottom teeth they cover with their tongue when eating.

  its the top ones that you feel, and only if they bit down.

Like sucking through a straw,only your lips touch the straw when you suck. Same thimg with a baby nursing.

see thats what i'm scared of...
my LO just bites naturally...so i know that if i was still breastfeeding, she would def bite me!

and i have another question for you guys....
if you exclusively breastfeed, what do you do about solids?

Once you start solids, you don't EBF anymore..

At least that's how I look at it.

but wasn't sure..
i would probably do it just like how i do it now, bf in morning and before she goes to bed.
because right now it's bottle in the morn, solids throughout day, and bottle at night...

yep! The same goes for me, except Nathan is 7 months old.  

so for the people that do EBF at lets say i dunno 13months...
why do they say their exclusively breastfeeding..when really that's not the case??
..a baby has to learn how to eat solids at some point...
i just don't understand why mamas put it all out there that they EBF when they can't just be bfing at 13months....

I consider EFB when you aren't supplimenting with anything ( formula, milk )and BM is their main source of nutrition.

With me, my daughter is 11 months and eats breakfast, 2 snacks, and dinner, but not very much in a sitting and only drinks BM. I'll give her a little water with her meals but not much. I still consider her EBF because her main source of food is still BM, once she starts eating more food then her main food source has shifted over to solids and BM will be a second to other foods.

They can EBF until a year, but their babies usually have low iron at that point, because they need more. At least that's what the LC at my BF support group said.

I know I also have a KOM siggy that says I EBF still, even though he's on solids. I just don't feel like trying to get someone else to change mine.

yea i see that...
but it's just especially mamas on here like to brag that their baby is only and exclusively bfing at _months, that they obviously need to be eating solids..and i was just wondering how that works out...thats why i asked..not to offend anybody or anything...and also was curious for when it will come time for me to bf again...

I ment to quote the OP sorry. I would still consider us stil EBFing but my daughter doesn't eat much, she gets food 4 times a day but nurses 6-7 times inbetween. If she eat more then she nursed I wouldn't still consider her EBF. Useually by a year a baby would be eating more then nursing, or the same.

My KOMsays I'm an Extended Breastfeeding mom, even though my daughter isn't even a year yet lol. I just didn't want to have to change it later.
