My husband and I have discussed this numerous times but last night really got us thinking and kind of laughing.

Think about this:
(show and then the commercial)

The Housewives of Atlanta - tons of commercials for hair relaxers
Celebrity Sex Rehab - tons of phone sex commercials

I just think it's weird. Do only african american people watch the real housewives of atlants?! Do only other sex addicts watch the rehab show?!

There are many other examples but these two are always the ones that stuck in my mind.

well they market towards the main audience of the show. Its just how advertising works.

My husband gets a kick at all the "black" commercials that we don't usually EVER see unless we watch that show. lol.

Honestly its everywhere, not just during those shows. Same thing happens with radio commercials. Why not market to the major audience of those shows? Doesn't it make more sense?
