National Adoption Day!!!!

I am thrilled. And just had to share.
After a 2 year battle with fostercare, we will finalize my daughter's adoption on November 21st. National Adoption Day, I'm sooo excited, it'll be a great opportunity to meet other adoptive parents in my area, plus it's just a great big party  

Baby 2 years of struggle but you're worth every bit of it all  )

If you don't mind me asking, did you do foster care first? Or did you want to adopt from the beginning?

I knew I was going to adopt from the beginning, but she was a fosterchild, it's complicated, I know her birth mother, but she's not family, and she (her birth mother) was a fosterchild, and it made things rather complex. But no, I don't mind you or anyone asking

Good luck. There are 129,000 kids still waiting for their "one day" here. Makes me cry to think about it. What route are you going for adoption?

We have been trying domestic through an agency for now. We're not picky, just not getting picked.

Congrats, my son who we adopted just turned four. I will never forget the day he was ours for good, it was such a weight lifted off our shoulders. July 21, 2007, one of the best days of my life.
