Last minute question...

is it safe to wash certain baby things with bleach?? or an I supposed to ONLY use the dreft or other detergents like free and clear??


 

You're fine as long as they show no signs of allergic reactions to whatever you use to wash their clothes in. I've never washed any of her things in Dreft, I've used the same Gain for her clothes as ours from the beginning.

We just use a dye free detergent, dreft is very pricy and most babies are fine with regular detergent. You can use whatever you want to wash the clothes, bedding and other stuff in as long as your little one doesnt get a rash or anything. good luck!

thank you!! i never feel like towels and sheets are clean unless I use bleach. But the baby wont be as dirty as us obviously... but idk im a neurotic. lol

I love reading your posts, you crack me up!!! I didnt use any special detergents with Hannah and have no plan to this time either. Its good that you are being so proactive with the linens and clothes =o)~ that will wear off in time Im sure.

I think it has to do with the waking up at 530am this morning realizing that she is going to be here any day and everything was filthy... or not as clean as it should be. Haha I have been on cleaning spree's before.. well NOTHING like this.

Im sure this is the real deal nesting, and I am positive you are right, and it wont last!!!

I remember freaking out with Hannah, scrubbing my kitchen floor on my hands and knees cause there was no way that the mop was cleaning the floor good enough!! Its scary what being pregnant can do to a normally sane woman! Just remind yourself that if you wear yourself out too much cleaning you are going to be a very tired new mommy.

I agree on Dreft being pricey -It's expensive and it Stinks! -I could Never stand the smell of it, so I ended up having a whole bottle that I'm going to donate to the local pregnancy care center because the smell makes me sick! -Now I know why I didn't like the smell of my little cousin -my aunt uses Dreft on her clothes! -It's true, unless your kid has Really sensitive skin, your normal detergent is fine. -but then you get cases like my uncle, and when my grandma did his clothes, they had to rinse them Seven times because his skin was So sensitive... he still has skin problems and allergies... -so yeah, Just use normal detergents -dont waste your money on 'special' stuff unless ur baby is real sensitive -and if so -u'll find out pretty quick! good luck ~KP
