she should have shut him up, but im sure the airline could have done something else other than kick them off. my kid was screaming during Mass today, so I bfed him in the back pews. He shut up and the other people could hear the priest.

Nope, like others said it's not impossible to get them to calm down. Some parents don't bring SHIT on the plane like the kid is just oging to sit for 5 hours magically and be quiet. Newsflash jr. probably ISN'T going to sleep the whole flight.

My mom managed 3 kids 2x a year sometimes herself.

I was on a flight from Brussels to Atlanta once and the flight attendants were going around asking if anyone had a spare bottle, apparently the mom had neglected to pack one (this was a 10 hour flight).

Dude that's rediculous   Funny the ONLY time I EVER had problems on the plane it was because the flight attendant refused to bring me a glass of hot and cold water so I could mix Will's bottle. He refused to nin cold.

that is my mom's pet peeve, of parents who dont bring something to entertain the kid. i had, religious coloring books and color bible stories when we would go to church, so i wouldnt be fussing around or coloring on the pew envelopes. i cannot stand when parents let their kids touch shit while they are waiting for example a doctors office..ARGH! My sister is a single mom (basically, bd is in the military) and she managed to keep my 3 yr old nephew from touching all my cousins knick knacks at her house by bringing a backpack of toys, some crackers and fruit snacks. Common Sense!!!

I've travelled with all my kids on multiple occasions starting with my oldest at like 2 months old. I've never had a problem keeping my kids under control. It's all in the parenting and being prepared for everything.

No, I don't think they were wrong to kick them off the plane and I believe there is more to the story than the woman is letting on. I've flown Southwest many times with many annoying, screaming kids and they never got kicked off that easily. Southwest has the right to refuse service just as well as anyone else does.
