Military questions

posted 1st Nov
I just posted something about this. But I need more answers! I'm kind o jumping the gun a little bit. But I wanted to be a little educated before we jump into this. My SO wants to join the air force. He has an OWI from a little over 2 years ago, would this effect it at all? Does anyone have any websites? I've been googling this but having barely any luck.

What are your situations like if your SO is enlisted?

I've heard that it's hard to get a waiver for criminal charges in the AF. Have your husband talk to a recruiter.

If he talks to the recruiters they will figure out something to hlep out. They are going to try their best to try to make them join. So go to the recruiters and get information and advice.

Airforce...probably not but only a recruiter can tell him for sure....Army, Marines will most likely take him.

He might be able to get a waiver for it, there's no way he could do Security forces. My SO went to basic with a guy who had a DUI.

My husbands recruiter told us that the economy has a lot to do with the military being super picky. People are looking for the financial stability that the military can provide. The army gives out the most waivers and the AF gives the least.

He's going to talk to a recruiter tomorrow. His charge was dropped to a misdemeanor, how hard is it to get a waiver?
