Quoting Brendan & Liam = &hearts:“ That is similar to what my pedi said...and basically if you consider this a new vaccine you would have ... [snip!] ... is awful. So he is extremely high risk. And we live 7 miles form the mexican border were it started and is really bad...”
Quoting Holly's-a-momma:“ The H1N1 vaccine is made the exact same way the seasonal flu vaccine is made and has been made for the ... [snip!] ... so we are all getting the shot. But everyone has their own opinions. Just do what's best for you and your family. ”
Quoting TJs Mama:“ I would have deff. gotten it for my little one too, if he was school age. If it is offered to us at the pedi, I may get it for my son. Did your baby get the vaccine, or will he get it?”
Quoting Gemma_Gibbons:“ thank u guys , i think i am just more nervous about the long term effects they are talking about and ... [snip!] ... this is a decision that best fits me and my family just wish someone could make it for me so it stops driving me nuts lol”If i had achild with any under-lying medical condition I'd get it as she would be at significant risk. My LO is not in daycare and has only had one mild cold in her 11 months of life so we are waiting a little. we may get it at some point if it looks like kids are doing fine after it and if the spread gets much worse in kids.
Quoting j e s s i c a ♦:“ Im not getting it, neither is my son, or my bf... ..before he goes to school he will get it, just because ... [snip!] ... by then it may be mandatory..until then not needed hes not around enough people, im very picky who he comes in contact with.”Usually you can just sign a statement if you don't do vaccines saying some blah blah blah stuff about the school isn't responsible if they get sick or whatever. If I'm not mistaken that is.
Quoting -*-Kristen-*-:“ Hey, just to let you know, my brother who was vaccinated 3 weeks ago still contracted H1N1. So the vaccine ... [snip!] ... I do not want to risk my life or my child's when the risk I will be taking does not definitely protect me from this virus. ”
Quoting Brendan & Liam = ♥:“ How old is he? Children under 10 need two doses and it takes 3-4 weeks to become effective so it does ... [snip!] ... kids htere with the swine flu/flu was scary...a whole wing of the children's hospital was just for that...a whole frickin wing.”My brother is 30 years old. There is a lot of research, it is all conflicting. But most of all, there has not been enough time spent testing this vaccine. We have not seen the long term affects. I spoke with my daughter's pedi office today about their vaccines and they told me there are no preservatives in all their vaccines except for their flu vaccines. And this is why my daughter's pedi will not be giving it to her own children. But your views are yours and mine are mine. I respect yours, but mine are different.

Quoting Brendan & Liam = ♥:“ I respect your views...just this vaccine is not any "newer" then the seasonal flu vaccine...so the two ... [snip!] ... olds back pack and a 9 nine year old boy died last week. it was confirmed it was H1N1. So sad and I feel so bad for his family.”Thanks
