Our two older children get to pick out the new babies first name. I was sort of liking Lydia,and then yesterday my wonderful  MIL had to go and make a comment. "I don't like Lydia, that's and old name. You better not name her that." I was sort of hurt. So what are some of your ladies thoughts? TIA

I know that's how I feel, but if I tell her it starts way to much drama.

Old names are beautiful! Had there been no comments, my daughter would have been named Agatha. THAT is an old lady name LOL I still love it. Allison is kinda dated. it's nice but not as nice as Allison.

Tell MIL to shove it up her dried sandy croch if she doesn't like it.

I like Lydia Rose.

Lydia is dated in a nice way...

Allison is dated in a 20 year way...which is a not so nice way...

I think Lydia is adorable it has a sort of timeless class   As for your MIL she'll get over her opinions don't let her determine what you name YOUR baby.

I love Lydia Rose! Gorgeous name, dont listen to your MIL..name your daughter what you want! if you dont ull regret it..
