ER UPDATE

posted 1st Nov
So yesterday morning i ended up taking lil man into the er because he was having difficulty breathing. He has been taking pulmicort once a day and albuterol as needed in the nebulizer. It wasnt working at all so thats when i took him in. It turns out he has reactive airway disease. Every once in a while when he gets a minor cold or a cough its hard for him to breath. He ended up getting his treatment changed so now he has an inhalor. He has to take albuterol every 6hrs for the next two days and from now on he has to take flo-vent twice a day, one puff in the morning and one puff at night. and hes to continue taking the pulmicort also. He was prescribed tamiflu because he tested positive for the flue but didnt have any of the symptoms. only the cold. hmmm lets see what else hes on pregnazone for the next 4days and thats about it. we went in yesterday morning and they kept us all night to observe him and we were finally able to leave the hospital at 630pm today. We werent able to go trick or treating but since i bought his costume i am going to take some pics in it.. its super cute. they will be up in a few days...

My daughter went through the EXACT same thing a couple weeks ago. Started with a cold, had trouble breathing, put on breathing treatments, tested positive for the flu, etc.

Hope your little man is feeling better soon!!

he just turned 12months gestation wise on october 26th. he will be 16 months correctedly on nov 8th. we lived in idaho clear up until sep 27th and he had been in the er 4 times and hospitilized once since new years of last year. They always said the same thing and after the 4th visit for the same thing he was diagnosed with asthma. we live in texas now and he was in for the same thing he kept getting in idaho and here they want me to take him to a pulmaologist. so this weds thats what we are going to do. everytime he gets a cold it triggers his asthma. after a year of the same thing over and over i am glad that something is finally going to get done.
