Sometimes you should just keep things to yourself...Whether it pertains to you or not.

I can't say I saw the humour in it at all. I'm not Mexican, but several of my friends and family are and the whole stereotype about Mexicans really pisses me off.

But she wasn't being serious, is what I'm saying. She honestly doesn't thank mexico for that. If it was a stand up comedian or jay leno saying it, people would crack up with no huff about it and not bitch at them for saying it.

It's find of like saying, 'We can thank the queers for AIDS in American.'' Do you find that funny? I'd hope not. Do people say such things? Yes. And the proper response is telling them that it isn't funny and it isn't cute.

My husband is hispanic. He's not from Mexico, but gets thrown into that general category all the time.

I don't find this "joke" necessarily offensive, I just think it was pointless to make a thread about it. But whatever.
