Second Hand Smoke Bothering me !!! ARRGG

So i live in austria , the only bad thing abut living here is EVERYONE smokes and your alowed to smoke EVERYWERE , some stores , resturants ,most buildings .
So my SO parents all smoke his sis his mom and his dad we go to visit them 2ce a month and weve been doing so since i got pregnant , the problem is they somke inside their house and there all chainsmokers , i always open a window when im there but it bothers me sooo much , becuse when one person stops smoking the other one starts , Ive mentioned that it was to smokey in the room and that i dient like it so they opend a window and after 5 min said so can we close the window because its getting cold... Im like wtf . I usually go outside when we visit them so im not inside but now its getting really cold out and its not an option amymore , what should i do ? Not visit them anymore ?

have them come visit you, and don't let them smoke in your house.

I would just stop going. But then again, I literally can't breathe in smoke so it's not just a bother thing.

My parents smoke... i used to call them before i get there and tell them to air out the place and not smoke. they had no problem me asking them to do that

I'm the same exact way. Everyone seems to smoke around me and I hate it, the smell makes me sick. What's worse is I saw my sister holding a cig while painting my 3 yr old nephew's face. The cigarette was like RIGHT by his face. When I said something to her, she just rolled her eyes and handed the full cigarette to her 5 year old to throw outside!

OMg peope like that anoy me . I was a smoker , a heavy smoker i smoked almost 2 packs a day but as soon as i found our i was pregnant i stoped with NO problem i was glad i had a reason to finally stop because i tired so many other times and failed.
Its wouldent be thaaaaat bad if it was just me in the smokey room and i was not pregnant but i am . I talked with my so and he said they wouldent smoke anyways if the baby was there , but i dont really see a difference from it bein in my belly and me breathing in the second hand smoke or it being out of me i think its just as bad ...

Its just anoying though , youd think people would feel bad since im pregnant and all ... i would!

Oh man I hate smoke!! I use to smoke too but when Im pregnant I cant stand it! I stayed with my mom for 2 months this pregnancy and her and my step dad smoke in the basement it was horrible! I couldnt go down there and sometimes i could smell it in the vents coming up to my room. I would scream at her!

As a previous smoker I really don't understand why on earth they think it's okay to smoke in front of a pregnant woman- indoors. This is why smokers get so much crap, because some of them can't be courteous. If you aren't supposed to smoke while pregnant, and everyone knows secondhand is worse, why would you smoke around someone carrying a child? Ugh. Stop going over there if they can't be respectful. Have them come to you, the baby doesn't need to breathe that crap.

My SO's parents did the same.
I eventually stopped going because not only did it effect my baby but it makes me throw up.
Stand up for yourself.
