whats an in-arms reach co-sleeper? like it hooks on to the bed or??

We co-sleep, have for 18 months. I feel better knowing shes there, shes happier that way and we sleep better. If you're not comfortable doing it, then don't. Co-sleeping isn't for everyone.

Not scared at all. I would sleep on the edge side and face inward, she would sleep in my arms. I never moved around. It's just different than sleeping by myself, it still is. My mind is in a different mode when she sleeps with me, it's hard to explain. And from the time she came home from the hospital I put her in both, her basinette/crib and our bed. She would sleep in her basinette or crib for naps so I could get things done around the house. She sleeps wherever I put her, in her crib, in her pack 'n play, with us...wherever. So no hard transition there at all.

And my daughter is very independent lol. She self soothes very well, shenever throws fits or anything like I've seen some women post on here. She's fairly easy going but she does havean attitude every now and then lol.And likeI said above she sleeps wherever so she can sleep alone no problem.

I wasn't planning on co-sleeping. Heck, I even had the bassinett right next to the bed. But it was soo much easier to have him right there in the bed with me. I mean when you are bf'ing you are the only one that can feed him in the middle of the night (unless you pump of course) and it makes it a million times easier to have him in the bed. My fiance slept on the couch for the first two weeks and it was just me and the little man. Those were a tough first few weeks.

Same here, I was completely against it for myself until she was born.

I wasn't against it, I just didn't know that I could do it. I know I sound lame but I just thought that the baby slept in the bassinett and the crib, I had no idea that parent's let their babies sleep in the bed with them until I came to this site. My mom never co slept with me or my brother. But I can't imagine not doing it.

My son is still co-sleeping at nearly 2 1/2 years old. We really wanted to have him transitioned into his own bed by the time his little brother gets here but from the looks of it, that is not going to happen. I love the experience we've had co-sleeping and even considered bringing the new baby into bed with us buttttt I don't feel comfortable with that idea anymore. Isaiah is such a crazy sleeper and I don't feel it'll be safe for Noah to be in the mix of all the kicks and tumbling about. I'm sad that I won't get the co-sleeping experience with Noah but I value his safety above anything else.
