16th bday theme ideas

So, my sister wants to go all out for her sweet 16. And we're stuck on theme ideas.   any suggestions?

What time of year? What time of day?

I know at my 14th birthday, I had one of the local bands (we went to high school with the guys) come out and play and we had a huge bonfire.. We did the inside up with a strobe light and streamers and stuff.. it was a lot of fun!

Darn, a costume party is always fun.

Well. I got married in October, so there is more to Halloween. You could do a Fall evening theme with colors of the fall. And do the bonfire like the girl up above said.

Or a black and white. Or Hollywood.

Lol I know, I told her it's too early. But, I guess they're planning on renting a ball room out and all of that which takes a lot of planning.
I was saying black and white theme would be cute also.
and I was also thinking a SWEET 16 would be cute [like candy/sweets theme].
But, I guess one of her friends did "Sammy land" for her 13th bday,and she doesn't want to "copy"   lol

That actually is a very cute idea. I see where she would thing that. But I think with a "sweet" theme you can do more than a candy land idea. Like cupcakes, and candy. I don't think it is the same at all.
