going on 8 weeks

So I'm going on week 8 of my period. My daughter is now 7 months old. and this is my first period. The doctor put me on birth control. any one know how long its supposed to take before itll get under control? i havent taken birth control before so im not quite sure about it

wait you've been bleeding for eight weeks? I think you should call your doctor about it.

I dont know, everybodys body is different, but I think maybe you need a diff bc pill, bc after my first baby, they put me on a low dose bc and the same thing happened to me, i would have a period that would last weeks at a time, then he changed me to a higher dose and I was fine.
