I don't think they look bad, but if you're looking for constructive criticism. I think the white backdrop is creating too much of a blowout. You could either try without the white or change your lighting so the white is softer and not so boldly blown out. It's drawing the eye away from the REAL focus, your beautiful daughter!!

I think they look good but I do think that both the harsh white and black present is a little distracting. Either having the backdrop all white or all black with the curtain(or whatever it is lol) would look nice. I think that the colors with her dress take on more of a winter "happy holiday's" type of feel rather than just christmas (I think that it is a good thing that your color scheme isn't targeted to one holiday)

I just bought some online, a metallic brocade. Looks pretty similar, and I think it should work for pictures.

1st: Her head kinda blends it to the white back ground.
2nd: I like it better.
