crib bedding

is it even worth buying a crib set...

because...your not supposed to use a blanket on the baby, and your not supposed to you the crib bumpers, and your not supposed to use pilliows...

so all that leaves that is useful from a crib set is the crib skirt, and the sheet...

so do you think it's worthwhile buying a whole set...im torn on whether I should just buy a skirt and some sheets, or a set...the sets look cute all together, but considering I won't use any of it, it seems like a waste.

I would just spend all that money on a lot of sheets anda mesh bumper so that there is no suffocation risk, but the little legs and arms can't get stuck between the slats.

I know you aren't supposed to, but if we don't use a bumper, iris kicks and hits her ankles on the bars....
we have always used a blanket because she won't sleep without one....
I think it's worth it....

I bought a set, when I thought she was a boy. She came out a girl so I got rid of it and just bought a sheet and put her in warm clothing at night. Then around 5 months she started waking up getting her legs caught in the bars of the cribs and dents in her head from rolling into it. so I got a set and now i wish I had one all along, they are really cute. we also used a sleep posistioner for 4 months and it kept her from rolling around, especially onto her tummy.

We used a thinner blanket to swaddle Kailee until 6 months. Then she used sleepsacks until 13 months. At 13 months, she got a pillow and blanket.

YES, better safe than sorry. We started using bumpers at 6 months old around the time she was very good with head control. and she won't take a blanket at all because she so use to sleeping without one. she kicks them off in her sleep if i even try to put one on her lmao.

Oh I was more than thrilled! I wanted a girl the whole time. She was the 2nd girl into HIS side of the family in 18 years. Nobody thought they were capable of having girls, but she was the best surprise ever! Even though getting rid of all the boy stuff was quite a hassle....

we use the bumper otherwise she would hit her hands and legs on the bars, and get them stuck too lol!! as long as the bumper is tighed tight enough and the strings are tucked out of reach usuin the bumper is fine. and her blanket is hanging on a quilt rack that my grandpa made . but if u dont want to really decorate the room i'd just buy the sheets

i just use receiving blankets.
She HATES being swaddled....i lay her down and put the blanket up to her chest but don't cover her arms.....that way if she moves the blanket just kicks off of her instead of her arms bringing it up...
we also use a position sleeper...but she usually scoots out of it...
