and shouldn't the NG doctors look at the MRI results   to judge if he needs a med board or whatever the Army calls it?

I honestly have no clue! In general besides the tests they do before he goes over and at basic he hasn't gone to the doctor in like 15 years. He was basically crawling on the floor in pain for a couple of days about a month ago so I made him go to the hospital around us. They told him he had sciatica (you know that thing that a lot of pregnant woman get) and were told that he had to see a primary doctor to get referred to get an mri. So he finally got the mri last monday and he is now looking for a doctor in our area to look at them. He was told at the hospital that he might have to get surgery. Last weekend he had his weekend drill but his primary doctor told him that he couldn't go because they can't do mri's if the area was inflamed. So he called up his Sgt and told him and had a dr's note for it and all and the Sgt was like Well if you get chapter-ed out for this then you know you gotta pay that bonus back. It just made me feel like crap because they have always been there for me and now they are being like this, maybe it's just his sgt being an ass I don't know.
