When you have the money and know you can handle another. Most doctors reccomend 2 years between pregnancies though, to give your body time to heal. I agree with this. I had about 2 years between all my pregnancies and I never had any huge issues nor did I have trouble losing the weight for any of the pregnancies.

How old is your child now?  At first I wanted my kids close in age but I am young and just not financially ready. I wanted them two years apart but having a little boy going through the terrible twos and a newborn would have been torture!

We plan on waiting a few years. We only want 1 in diapers at a time, we want to make sure we're financially stable enough for 2 kids, and we want to give our LO all the alone time she can get with us before we have another.

Your body needs at least a year to heal. I waited 10 months, but I am also married, insured 33 year old, and financially stable with a retirement account, no debt with the exception of our mortgage, and several thousand dollars in a savings account. This doesn't magically mean I will be a great parent, but it certainly helps.

At the VERY LEAST, I'd wait at least a year, and also until you are in a stable and loving relationship.
