Raid.

My father has been spraying raid all over the house and the smell is strong, it's one of those that you can smell instantly because of how much and how often he sprays it. He sprays it for those fruit gnats that are in the house. Can this harm my unborn baby? I am 30 weeks pregnant right now but he's been spraying this on and off since the start of my pregnancy. Can someone give me some insight on this?

it's a chemical, it can't be *good* for you and the baby.

Inhaling any chemicals- especially ones that kill insects, can't be good for an unborn baby.. or anyone for that matter. The directions usually say to wear a mask or ventilate the area 

My BFF watches the Rachel Ray show, blech, and she said if you put shot glasses of apple vingar around the house it'll kill them fast and without spraying chemicals all around.

a small glass of apple cider vinegar with a drop of dawn dish soap with attract them and kill them quickly. And I would head outside while he sprays and until the room clears.
