How much are you over producing? I mean, are you constantly engorged? If so, the nursing longer on each side to get the hindmilk out will help. Hindmilk will actually keep him fuller for a little longer because it's thicker.

I was still having to sit around in a bath towel all day because i was leaking too much for breast pads, thankfully thats reduced this past week! I have an overactive let down too so he chokes a lot and gets frustated feeding. Letdown still hurts and my poor bewbies still hurt too. For the first 6 weeks i felt physically sick every time he ate! It was bizarre, certainly a learning experience!

He will sometimes only leave as little as 20 mins between one feed and the next. Then if he goes 2+ hours i get engorged. He acts colicky - squirmy and sore, some projectile sick, gassy and gets stinky. I leak about 2oz out of the breast i'm not feeding from when he eats. He chomps down on my nipples so they're white at the ends, but sometimes purple. I'm not sure if his tongue tie has anything to do with that either.

I started doing 2 or even 3 feeds from the same breast, i'mseeing some hindmilk now on the later feeds. I'm just hoping that somehow i'll stop producing so much foremilk.I don't even know why it's happening   I'm guessing that's still better for him then formula though?

Mine came in about 4 days later, all csections. I overproduce too. Harlow is 12 weeks today. I get about 3oz in leaking while shes nursing on the other side. I leak way too much for pads. I start to feed her and the other side sprays. I have a forceful letdown which she has adapted to as well. I dont think anything will change at this point haha.

I felt sick the first few times I nursed too, and the pain of nursing & how he bites down could definitely be the tongue tie. Have you seen an LC? I'd look into one to see if she could help him learn to nurse in a way that doesn't cause you to cringe lol.

gahh it's tough huh, it really gets in the way of doing ANYTHING but nursing. Many a time my other bewbie has sprayed the laptop screen lmao. I've just ordered in some washable pads as i'm spending too much on disposables. I got some breast shells too on recommendation, to collect the milk from the other side. But they fill up too quickly and it's so messy/fussy to deal with both spraying boobs at once!

Here's hoping things settle down for us both soon!

I'd never heard of the sick feeling thing before, i was SO glad when that stopped at week 7 because i was dreading every feed and it shouldn't be like that.

I was thinking about going to a breastfeeding support group, i figure there should be an LC there hosting it? or at least another mum who's been through some of these issues.

Probably an LC hosting it, or it would be able to give you a reference to an LC at least. You can check your local hospital too, mine had a few on site that would help.

when you're feeding from one boob and the other one is leaking, do you catch it with anything? ...or do you just let it leak?

Seriously though, you can use sterilised breast shells and then save and storethe milk for later if you like. I always like to save it because i'm scared that one day for some reason my milk won't be enough or that he'll have to have a bottle. It just makes me feel better knowing there is a bunch stored in the freezer  

With my daughter it took 3 days for my milk to come in but with my son (who was born 1 month ago) my milk came in just over 24 hours after I gave birth.
