baby clothes question

posted 31st Oct
Okay so my DH already has kids and is like pretty keen on what is good to have and whats a waste, I normally trust his judgement but I think he is crazy with this one.
The baby is going to be born in the winter and I am worried about at least having a few pairs of neutral pants for him when we leave the house. I dont think a onesie and a blanket is going to do. He says its not like he is going to be wearing full outfits much since we are homebodies but still I'm worried about pants lol

How many bottoms did you have for your newborn?

We recently had to do a wardrobe overhaul for my son because he was born in the summer and we bought him clothes up to 18 months. All he had was summer stuff. But we have like 5 or 6 pairs of jeans that he doesn't quite fit yet and like 5 pairs of sweatpants. He also has a snowsuit. We are homebodies too but I put extra pairs of pants in his diaper bag just in case

yeah sleepers are footy pjs. there a million times easier then full outfits plus they keep baby extra warm which every newborn needs to be.

awesome thanks, I'll for sure pick some up then. Clothes get confusing there are so many different kinds. I have stepkids but they are like 2t and up its so much simpler

Kailee was born a month after your LO is due. I had 3-4 pairs of pants for her along with sleepers and she wore them all. So that being said, you will need them. Even in Arizona lol.

my LO never wore pants until 3-4 months
I just used sleepers and gowns... her umbilical stump didnt fall off until she was 5 weeks old, so she couldnt wear pants or onesies (according to her pedi)

Kailees cord fell off before we even left the hospital. But, it was still cold enough here at night that she needed pants. She wore sleepers every night to bed.
