oh great

So last month my NuvaRing fell out. SO and I weren't really sure when we wanted to TTC #2, so we were a lil freaked. I told my mom after AF finally came and mentioned getting an IUD. She was shocked and freaked out because she thought I might be pregnant. Well, the more and more SO and I talked about when we want more kids, we decided to TTC now, so the LO will be born before I start my last year in college next fall. So, now that we are trying I feel like when I get pregnant and tell my mom she's gonna be so disappointed.

Did any other mama's have to ignore everyone else's thoughts and just think about themselves. I'm a people pleaser, so I feel bad for upsetting my family.

Well we can't afford to get married, but we know we will always be together. We plan on getting married after I'm done with school in a year and a half. We want our children close together.

My husband and I weren't married yet when we started TTC. I don't see why you MUST be married. I've known a lot of people who were with their SO for years, have kids and never planned on getting married.

Yeah, I wasn't insulting in any way. If that's the case I'd go for it; and maybe tell your mom it was an ooops ha ha.. OR the truth you wanted kids close together.

Yeah like I said It is just something "I" wouldn't do.. I really don't care what any one else does..

Yup. We would love to get married, but it's just a ring. And, at this point we can't afford to have the wedding we want and we're not in a rush. And besides that, the only thing that matters is us!!! Some people just view it as a ring and that's it.

It's perfectly alright mama, as the saying goes.. You can't please everyone.

You're old enough now to make your own decisions about YOUR family. When you become an adult your parents just have to get over it.

I knew my mum would be disappointed in me for being pregnant again, and she was. But now 5 weeks later she's happily looking through baby catalogs and helping us pick names.

She wont be mad at you forever, she'll love the baby no matter what.

And personally, at this stage.. I'll never get married lol. I don't need a bit of paper to tell me what my heart already knows

My mother didn't want me spending the money for the IUI that we needed. She tried to tell me that if we couldn't concieve naturally then it wasn't meant to be.



Once I told her that the IUI had worked and we were pregnant, though, she was happy.

Awww, well thank you. I know my mom will come around. I just feel bad. But......I'm not gonna let it stop me in planning out my family. It's nice to hear someone else went through it. I know she won't be upset because there will be another grandchild, she just doesn't want to see me not graduate. But I def. will. I want to buy these kids the entire world! ha

Luckily for me, my parents offered to pay for pretty much everything. Otherwise....we may not be married yet either! I believe your commitment to each other is what matters the most.

I am also in college and have had 3 miscarriages (2 that everyone knows about) and I am constantly hearing my family say..."just wait til you finish school" or "you are so young"...I too am a people pleaser, but after getting pregnant twice while on birth control and having one planned pregnancy My husband and I choose to do what makes us happy. I never imagined that I would want a child at twenty years old, but I do and I look forward to it each and every day. I KNOW that I will finish school whether I have a child before I finish or not is not an issue. I want to finish so I will and that will make it even easier to stay home with my LO and then find a job when I finish. I have a lot of help with my MIL living close by and we are financially stable so that makes it an even better time for us personally. My point is...do what you think will make you happy!
