I only felt it move once...

posted 30th Oct
I'm 18, and nearly 16 weeks. A week ago i felt the baby move, but i haven't since then and i just wonder why? i know it is more common for a pregnant woman to feel the baby move closer to 17 weeks but i just don't know why it was only once and so random.

What does your age have to do with anything?

It's normal, you'll feel the baby move soon enough.

ETA: That came off sounding funny. It's normal to not feel it a lot right now, but soon you'll feel it more often. There.

You probably won't really feel the baby for a few more weeks...it's still just so small! Congrats!

i was around 19 or 20 weeks when i started feeling kicks around everyday or every other day

At this point it's normal to go a while without feeling your baby. You won't start feeling somewhat regular movement until 20-24 weeks. You won't feel steadily regular movement until 26-30 weeks.

it's her second post, maybe she was introducing herself. I don't think she made a comment about her age having a factor of her baby moving or not  .

You may be right. I didn't notice her post count. A lot of mamas announce their age randomly, and I always wonder why.

It's perfectly normal to feel a kick and then have nothing for a few days when you're that early on. I first felt my little girl at 15 weeks, and then once more at 16 weeks, then nothing until 18 weeks. It'll get more frequent soon enough!

Im 17 weeks and just started feeling the baby move. It's not much though but I'm sure you'll feel it more and more as the baby gets bigger and it's little bones start to harden. Good luck to ya....
