I wanted to share my labor story with you ladies!
I was given pitocin around 8:00 in the morning Tuesday morning.Everything was fine.I was making jokes with my babydaddy and my sister. They starting getting stronger and my nurse then gave me medicine in my IV to take the edge off the contractions.
It worked somewhat but mostly just made me sleepy as hell.Less than twenty minutes from getting that I recieved my epidural.Which at first was heaven because I couldn't feel anything!
Then baby's heart rate starting to drop. They kept switching me from side to side trying to find which side made her happy.
My doctor came in, checked me and told me I was eight centimeters dilated and he thinks I'm going to deliver this baby but if things keep going down hill I would have to get a c-section.
I started to get really tired to the point I didn't know what the hell was going on.I just know the nurses kept asking me my name! "What is your name??" "Do you know why you are here".Then they asked everyone to leave the room because my gown and bed needed changing.
I was looking over the side unable to move myself back because of the epidural for a second and then I turned my head and there was over ten nurses all standing in my room.No one telling me whats going on. Just "Call Dr.Reed" "Get a OR room prepped".
Everything happened so fast.I recieved a c section because baby wasn't tolerating labor good at all.I was out of it while the surgery was going on.
They took here immediately even though they said that she was perfect and scored a 9.9
After the C-section that's when things got really bad.My epidural went up in my body making my arms and hands numb and the medicine gave a horrible reaction.I couldn't breath.I couldn't focus.I was freezing.I was literally shaking like I was have a seizure. The nurses kept asking "What is your name?" "You know why you are here" "What's your baby's name" "Do you remember your baby's name?"
I starting to feel better about eight hours after my C-section.I seen my daughter about four hours after I delivered her.I couldn't hold her because I was shaking so bad.
But the next day I got blood put in my epidural to fix what was messed up the day before.
