Gentian Violet?

How do I use this? like how do you dose it up? Is it ok if my LO swallows it? How long do I keep it on my breasts? How many times should I use it a day? How long should I use it for? Can I use it for a yeast infection on my sons bottom?

Just coat your nipples and the inside of your LO's mouth with it using a Q tip. That small amount is fine to swallow. I did it two to three times a day.

Where do you get it?

I hated it   One doctor told me to use it when my son got thrush, then I had to go to my regular doctor who said it sucked, and gave me a cream for my nipples. I found it was safe to nurse with it on, but it stained my bras my son's mouth everything.

i also used a q-tip and swabbed it in LO mouth and then on my own nipples once a day. you can use it for 4-7 days, but if you don't have relief by the first few days it is unlikely that it is yeast. google jack newman and breastfeeding and check out his site. he has a candida protocol you can use if you are having problems with yeast/thrush.
