*Ovulation Test Question*

posted 30th Oct
i have been taking the ovulation tests for the past 3 days and noticed that each day the test line is getting a little lighter. Is that because I already ovulated and the LH Surge is slowly going away in my system? I thought i was going to ovulated on the 29th, but i guess i must have ovulated earlier since i have been getting negative results. thank you.

Not necessarily , there is always LH in your system, and some days a little more or a little less. You may have ovulated but if you feel you are yet to and know your body pretty well, i'd keep testing at least one or two more days.

Maybe and maybe not... not everyone will have a fade-in, fade-out pattern with opks. Each test has its own individual amount of dye in it and each urine sample is a little more or less concentrated than the last. Because of this, each test will look different and you can't always compare your own tests against eachother (some people can, you just can't always do it).You could have a test with NO test line at all the day before you O or the day after, technically.

That said, it's possible you did O on the day you thought you did and you just missed the surge if it was a short one. Did you have any other signs indicating ovulation on the 29th (stretchy cm, a temp rise the next day, sore boobs, etc)? If not, maybe you're just going to O a few days later than you thought and it's on its way. Good luck!

Thank you very much for your help! I just thought i was ovulating because of the calender prediction. I always put in my cycle length and when my last period was, and it told me i would ovulate on the 29th.

This cycle is confusing for me because my cycles are usually around 28-30 days long and this time it was 35 days long, so i wasnt sure if i would ovulated late or early (which i normally would).
